I HAVE the honor to report my arrival in this Country on the 19th instant, on Leave of Absence from Hongkong commencing January 1871.
In compliance with Clause 130 of the Colonial Regulations, I annex the duplicate Despatch and Certificate of Leave of Absence given to me by the Governor of HongKong, and I beg to request that the Crown Agents may be instructed to issue to me my Half-Pay as it may become due.
